Co-op Test
- Drop-in co-op: the host goes straight into the world, and friends with the party code can join at any time, up to four heroes. A hero who joins appears next to the party, or at the start of the dungeon depth the party is in.
- Press Esc and choose INVITE FRIENDS to see the party code; COPY copies it in one click. The host can remove a player or make a new code there.
- Party chat: press Enter to talk to your party in the world (Enter sends, Esc closes). The chat also tells you when someone joins, leaves or is removed.
- The chat box on the co-op screen that only showed your own messages is gone.
- The host's list of heroes on the co-op screen now updates when a friend joins.
- Your online hero is now saved every minute during play, as intended.
- Enemies in a party have much less health: 1.75 times the solo amount with two heroes, 2.5 times with three and 3.25 times with four (it was 5, 9 and 13 times). They hit as hard as in solo play.
- In co-op, every hero now has their own quest progress: kills near you, chests you open together and places you reach count toward the quests in your own log.
- Other players in your party no longer see your computer's name.
- Fixed ways a player could disrupt a co-op server for the rest of the party.
Classes & Skills
- The speckled square patches are gone from the ground effects of Sundering Blow, War Cry, Berserk, Reaping Circle, Blood Moon Roar, Blood Rush, Shield Bash, Ashen Ward and Marrow Break, and the white grid is gone from Blood Wind.
- Berserk: the hero now draws the weapon before the roar.
- War Cry, Blood Moon Roar and Red Communion now take effect at the peak of the shout, not before it.
- Reaping Circle: the spin now lasts through all of its hits.
- Blood Rush: the roll now ends on your feet as the charge ends.
- Shield Bash now leads with the shield.
- Two-handed weapons: the hero no longer swings at an enemy just out of reach, but steps in first or hits the nearest enemy in reach.
- The female hero now roars with her own voice on Berserk, War Cry, Blood Wind and Red Communion.
Dungeons
- Depth IV: the gate is now the only way into the ring.
- Crypt Stalkers no longer grow larger than intended, and no longer change size in the middle of a fight.
Audio
- The card at the end of Act One is now narrated.
- Eleven quest lines are re-recorded so the spoken words match the subtitles again.
- Marrow Break, Ashen Ward, Red Communion, the end of Grave Stance and the end of Berserk have sounds of their own. Blood Wind and Red Communion no longer borrow War Cry's sound.
- Music tracks now loop without a hard jump.
- The final fight of Act One no longer plays the town's music, and the hero keeps the weapon drawn on the way in.
- Fixed some sounds playing at the wrong pitch.
Bug Fixes
- Co-op: fixed a crash that could close the game while another hero in your party was fighting nearby.
- Monsters that appear within 40 metres of the town are no longer elite, in solo and co-op.
- The town's safe area now covers the whole town.
- Two spiders that never appeared in the Cursed Swamp now do.
- The Brute's ground crack has a new, darker look, and repeated smashes in one spot no longer pile up cracks.
Known Issues
- Fast travel to the Iron Vein Mines waystone can leave your hero stuck on the rocks beside it. If that happens, use the Shadow Portal (T) to return to town.
- Quest rewards from a co-op game are not kept yet. Do your quests in solo play for now.
- If a co-op game server stops unexpectedly, up to about a minute of progress in that party can be lost.
- The new trousers have no picture in the codex yet.
- Some torches can look plain grey. A fix is on the way.
- Rarely, the game can close by itself just as the studio logo ends at start-up. If it happens, start the game again.
