New Content
- Two short new quests in town: The Short Way Home shows you the portal back to town, and The Price of Candles shows you what a rite at the priest does. Both are voiced.
- The Starting Lands have new ground, and the trees sway in the wind.
- The village houses now face the well, and the old cart no longer blocks a doorway.
- The mine entrance has a new rock, and you can no longer walk into it.
- The Grave Brute now holds his maul in his fist.
- The Grave Brute's slam raises new dust.
- Torches throw sparks when they go out.
Co-op Test
- Clearer co-op errors: SERVERS BUSY has a bigger notice right above TRY AGAIN, THAT PARTY IS FULL appears next to the JOIN field, and ANOTHER VERSION tells you to update the game.
- When you join a party, your online hero's journal and quest tracker show that hero's saved quests.
- Joining a party now loads the enemies of that area in advance, to cut down stutters right after you join.
- The level-up message in co-op now names your Skills key.
Dungeons
- Elite enemies in the Broken Fortress give 1.6 times the normal XP instead of 2.2 times.
- The floors of the Broken Fortress no longer show a repeating tile pattern.
Classes & Skills
- Two-handed weapons are now held with both hands: the second hand rides on the haft in the guard, in the swings and while you walk or run.
- Heroes react to hits in several ways instead of one, fall in a way that matches their fighting stance, and a raised shield visibly takes a blocked blow.
- A one-handed weapon and shield now sheathe onto your hero's back when you put them away.
- A new trail follows your sword swings.
- The four shrine rites that teach new skills now open at levels 12, 13, 14 and 15 instead of 16, 18, 19 and 20. They give less XP to match.
- A skill you earn from a quest now always shows on the skills page with a gold EARNED tag. A Blood Mark learns it once you reach its level.
Items & Loot
- The stash chest now keeps gold. Use Put gold in and Take gold out: a click moves all of it, Shift+click moves half.
- Gold in the chest is safe: dying only costs 10% of the gold you carry, and shops only take what you carry.
- Rotting Peasants can now drop trousers, including the new Tanner's Breeches. Their chests, belts and helms drop a little less often to make room.
- The Watch Sword now sits in the hand like the other swords.
- The Felling Axe and the Rusted Woodsman's Axe now land their chop as the blade crosses the enemy, and only hit enemies their blade actually reaches.
User Interface
- The CO-OP button now appears together with the other menu buttons instead of a moment later.
- The codex shows trousers among a creature's spoils.
- The skills page no longer shows "(R)" in the hint for Berserk.
Bug Fixes
- The Watch Buckler, the Lode-bit Axe and the Reaper's Hook now show their real materials. They could look plain grey before.
- The game no longer offers to send a crash report after a minor internal error that did not close the game.
Known Issues
- Quest progress and quest rewards from a co-op game are still not kept. Do your quests in solo play for now.
- There is no text chat in co-op yet.
- If a co-op game server stops unexpectedly, up to about a minute of progress in that party can be lost.
- The new trousers have no picture in the codex yet.
- Some torches can look plain grey. A fix is on the way.
- Rarely, the game can close by itself just as the studio logo ends at start-up. If it happens, start the game again.
