Combat
- Two-handed strikes hit hard. The first and second strikes with a two-handed weapon each have a wind-up, a blow timed to the moment of contact and a follow-through, plus a brief hit-stop and camera shake on impact. Before, the second strike eased back to idle halfway through the swing and the first one dealt its damage a few frames late.
- A two-handed weapon is carried like one. Drawn, the hero holds it in a two-handed guard as he stands, walks and runs. In town it goes onto his back instead of vanishing, and he draws it again as he leaves; a swing or a skill puts it straight back in his hands.
- Sundering Blow has its own animation, a great-sword cast that brings the blade down to the ground.
- Enemies you are fighting stand at striking distance. Blows no longer pass over their heads from too far away.
Heroes
- Both heroes have new voices. Every line the male and the female berserker speak has been recast, and she has a new death cry.
Sound
- Five places have a soundscape of their own. The cathedral, the fortress, the village, the bridge and the watchtower used to borrow another area's ambience. Each one now has its own.
- The town fountain can be heard: a steady flow, with drips and splashes falling at random, louder as you come closer.
Armour
- Armour no longer cuts holes in your body. Body parts are only hidden under armour with its own fitted model, and only where that piece really covers. Pieces still using a placeholder model no longer hide anything.
World
- Chests are wood and iron again. Every chest had turned a flat white; they now show their real finish, lining included.
- The fountain's upper bowl no longer glows. The fire's light hung just above the blood and lit the bowl from within; it now sits higher, and the flame looks the same.
- A great stone stands beside the road into the Iron Vein.
Menu
- The LAN multiplayer preview is gone from the main menu while online co-op is being built.
Known Issues
- Some armour pieces still use a placeholder model; skin can show through them until they get their own fitted models.
- The second hand on two-handed weapons does not yet hold the haft through every attack.
- The Ossuary Archer's bow animation is coming; until then he draws and shoots from a swing.
- The Bandit is being rebuilt on a new body; this is the old one.
