User Interface
- Obsidian Veil brings dark panels, pale lettering and crimson highlights to the main menu, Settings, hero selection, character creation, pause menu and Friends list.
- Inventory now places hero stats, equipment and your backpack in a clearer three-column layout.
- Item comparisons show equipped gear beside the item you are inspecting, including both equipped rings when comparing a ring.
- The redesigned quest journal groups quests by status, with objectives, progress, locations and rewards shown beside the selected quest.
- The map opens separately with M. The journal tabs now focus on Inventory, Quests, Skills and Codex.
- A new cathedral loading screen appears when joining an online game or travelling between online areas, then fades into the world once it is ready.
- The Ashen Relic HUD gives both classes the same frame layout, refined portrait and minimap, and a frameless quest tracker, while keeping the existing skill and utility icons.
- Subtle HUD animations respond to your resources and skill cooldowns.
- Obsidian Veil now extends to Skills, Codex, the world map and the Book of Blood.
- Merchants, the smith, stash, wardrobe, cleansing rites and NPC conversations use the matching menu style while retaining their animated characters.
- Party panels, reports, confirmations, chat, gold transfers and the damage meter use the same presentation.
Ashen Priest
- The Ashen Priest can assign a fifth learned active skill to R. It uses the existing rebindable class-action control; Berserker keeps Berserk.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed newly created online heroes being treated as imported heroes and prevented from posting eligible Book of Blood records.
- The Book of Blood refreshes after a new server record arrives while the Book is open.
- Record submissions are retried after temporary connection problems, reducing missing scores.
- Fixed valid records being rejected if the hero levelled up before the score finished submitting.
- Quests appear when you first join or rejoin an online game, without waiting for another quest update.
- The bug report's send, cancel and attachment buttons respond while the Book of Blood is open.
- The DELETE FOREVER button has enough room for its full label.
- Fixed an online interaction problem that could prevent entering the Broken Fortress.
- Ordinary and elite dungeon encounters keep the dungeon's music playing. Boss encounters still use their own music.
- Hollis' animated portrait is framed higher, with his face properly visible.
- Removed two stray floating flames from the inn's facade in Ashenmoor.
Known Issues
- Some heroes created before this update may still be marked as imported and remain ineligible for the Book of Blood. Missing historical scores are not restored by this update.
- The Book of Blood record banner still uses a temporary frame.
