Fixed tonight
- Chests are visible again. The last patch placed the quest chests with a wrong rotation, so the one by the fountain stood upside down with its whole body under the plaza while the map still showed it. Every chest now stands upright, and every chest carries a small warm light so it reads at night. Tell us if the light is too much.
- The Broken Fortress is open. The stair no longer waits for chapter VIII; go down when you dare.
- Enemies need to see you to hit you. A wolf wedged behind a stone used to swing and snarl forever, and its bites landed through the rock. A blow now needs a clear line to you, and an enemy stuck within reach is put back on open ground after a few seconds.
- Loot lands on ground you can reach, from every enemy, boss and bag drop. A boss piece could land over the red lake in the Broken King's arena and hang there forever.
- Combat music plays only for bosses and elites in the open world. An ordinary pack keeps the ambience.
- Left click attacks enemies is now an option, off by default: Settings, Gameplay. The left button walks; right mouse or Space attacks.
- The see-through circle around the hero is gone. Only the rim outline shows him when he is behind something.
- The shadow gate opens towards you and stands clear of the Watch Captain.
- One coin pile a kill instead of up to four. Same gold, one walk-over.
- Taking a skill point back tells you why it cannot when you are short of gold. Right-click a skill in the tree, or Reset Tree beside the bar.
Enemies
- The Rotting Peasant has a new body, the first of the new skeleton family, and the Skeleton Warrior comes in two new bodies with a real blade in its hand from the first one you meet.
- Four enemies swing properly again. The Bandit, Goblin, Cultist and Peasant attacks were cut to a window that left them folded double for most of the swing.
- The Goblin has a second attack, a horizontal sweep.
- The Broken Fortress codex tells the truth. Eight cards promised abilities the enemies did not have; they now describe the fight you actually get.
- The wolf's bite sound ends before the next bite lands.
World and sound
- The town has a longer night ambience that loops without a seam.
- The rain is wider and shorter, as built for your report two patches ago and never switched on.
- The wet skeleton sounds are levelled for a starter enemy.
Known Issues
- The abandoned village's new houses are placed but not in this build; next patch.
- The Bandit is being rebuilt on a new body; this is the old one with the fixed swing.
- The fountain's blood pour is still flat geometry.
- Some sound effects are stereo where they should be mono; being checked.
- The two new one-handed swords (Iron Vein Falchion, Arming Sword of the Red Spring) still borrow other swords' icons; their own are drawn and land next patch. An earlier version of these notes said they were in; that was wrong.
